EMPOWER MOBILITY IN CITIES
Seamless, integrated and shared mobility. Empower cities and citizens to move freely and sustainably through data-driven decisions.
CHALLENGE: TRANSFORMING MOBILITY IN URBAN AREA
Mobility should allow people in the cities to move more freely and easily, through better utilization of existing infrastructure and sharing of transport systems. Developing cities like Jakarta, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh city are facing crippling traffic jams on a daily basis, costing them billions of dollars annually. Developed cities like Taipei are working on reducing car dependency while creating safer streets and smarter cities.
The backbone of mobility is applicable data which can help create and implement better solutions.
How can the four cities stated above create new data sources, utilize existing data, or better capture missing data, to address those problems and improve mobility in cities?
RESOURCES
Here are examples of data sets and sources. Feel free to utilize them, but we highly encourage identifying new sources and creative ways of using data.
